Even outside the context of the crisis, we are constantly faced with the new challenges in a changing technology and practices. This trend is particularly noticeable in the work carried out within the EAHM, especially the “European Affairs” subcommittee that I chair. European hospitals and their managers share the same concerns and the same problems. Exchanges of views are essential to make the right choices in the united Europe on the regulations of constraints that are faced with increasing standardization of norms due to architectural design or the quality of services.

We are proud to announce that Ecclesia Group, our Silver Sponsor, will be one of the major partners of the 24th EAHM Congress.

    Ecclesia: Advantage through expertise

The Ecclesia Group is not only known for its experience and reliability in the healthcare sector – it is for its ideas that make this insurance broker a strong partner of hospitals in Europe. The Ecclesia, headquartered in Detmold (Germany) owns further companies in Austria, Belgium and Switzerland, and also provides services to hospitals in Italy and Poland.

The hospital market is becoming increasingly differentiated. New care structures entail new risks which need to be addressed by refined insurance solutions. Ecclesia – in its capacity as representative of the interests of clinics – has the strength and focus to keep abreast of the latest developments and to creatively implement these in insurance concepts that are supported by the insurance industry.

A prominent role is assigned to loss prevention by hospitals and health facilities. Ecclesia’s affiliate GRB Gesellschaft für Risiko-Beratung mbH develops concepts for clinical risk management and puts these into practice.

Ecclesia is home to Europe’s largest loss data base with about 10,000 new individual medical malpractice losses each year. These losses are analyzed and findings are published. This way, the Group as specialist service provider for the healthcare sector, duly reflects to the system important insights in loss prevention.

Ecclesia operates its own claims department. This ensures that any interests of hospitals are reasonably safeguarded also in the event of a conflict. To keep up with the pace of change, the Group has bundled its sector-specific expertise in the Center of Competence Hospital (CCK). Because Ecclesia always also means: advantage through expertise.

Our major sponsors: Sodexo, Abbott, BGL BNP Paribas, Ecclesia, Zimmer, Arthrex, Allgeier.
